Getting Here: Ho Chi Minh City has an international airport (TânSơnNhất International Airport)with direct flights to many destinations in Asia and Europe, and connecting flights to most major cities globally.

Visas: With the exception of a few selected countries in Asia and Europe, most nationalities require a visa to enter Vietnam. Visas can be arranged in advance at your local embassy or consulate, or through one of many visa-on-arrival services available on the web. Please note that visas-on-arrival are only available to those arriving by air. Please also note that the lines at the visa-on-arrival counter are sometimes long, so it’s best to have your documents ready and prepared in advance.

At The Airport: Once you pass through immigration, the airport has official counters for money exchange, SIM cards for your mobile phone and taxi transport.

Vietnam is a large country with several distinct climate zones. The VNITO conference will be in Ho Chi Minh City in Southern Vietnam, which has a tropical wet-dry climate. The dry season goes from November to April, and the wet season goes from May to October.

The VNITO conference will be held in mid-October, which is towards the end of the wet season. Although the weather cannot be predicted, some rain is likely in this time. The rains may come in the form of short, heavy showers, or long continuous drizzles. We recommend that you pack a raincoat or umbrella.

Ho Chi Minh City is hot year round. October is a relatively mild and pleasant month, withtemperatures typically ranging from 24 to 31 degrees Celsius. While it may be hot outside, however, hotels and indoor venues (including the conference center) are usually well air-conditioned.
