Biography

Education:

1973-1977: Graduated from Tokyo University of Fisheries, Japan. (now Tokyo University of Marine and Technology)
B.Sc. in Fishing Science & Technology.

1982-1884: Graduated from Canberra University, Australia. Graduated Diploma in Computing Studies.

1997-1999: Graduated from National University, CA., U.S.A. MBA in Telecommunication Management.

Working Experience:

1977-1982: Business Development, Mitsui Ocean Development & Engineering Co., Ltd. Tokyo. (now MODEC, Inc.)
A joint-venture company between Mitsui & Co., Ltd. Mitsui Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. to build oil drilling platform & semi-submersible vessels.

1984-1990: Senior Programmer/Analyst at Department of Primary Industries, Australian government.
Developed and maintained systems using COBOL & IBM 4GL (Speed II) programming language.

1991-1994: Assistant Manager, Toyota Trading America, Inc. In-charge of project coordination between US engineers and Japanese engineers at Toyota Motor in Kentucky State, USA.

1994-1995: Programmer/Analyst for Honda Australia, Melbourne. Developed and maintained systems using COBOL.

1997-2002: Vice President, Why Not Creation Inc., USA
This is a start-up company during the dot.com boom in Silicon Valley. We raised a total of 10 million USD to build a web portal providing online greeting card services www.ynot.com. Now it’s a part of www.rakuten.co.jp (online greeting card section). In 2000 we had over 200 employees (80 in the US, 80 in Vietnam, 40 in Japan & 10 in France). I build the subsidiary in Japan (Why Not Co., Ltd.) in 1998 from scratch and later Why Not Japan was acquired by a well-known internet portal in Japan.

2002-2008: Chairman & CEO, Sang Tao Corporation, HCM. Sang Tao was founded in 1997 and was pioneer in providing ITO services in Vietnam.
Sang Tao was the first Vietnamese IT company acquired by a big Japanese IT company in 2007.

2012- present: Co-Founder & CEO, LZT Vietnam Co., Ltd. Providing software outsourcing services and business strategic consulting services. LZT group companies has a total of nearly 600 software engineers in China, Japan & Vietnam.
